Miracle McCloy Released from Hospital

I would not have believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes. Randall McCloy, the lone survivor of the Sago Mining disaster on January 3, walking and speaking in a soft voice for the cameras in the press conference around his release today.

He truly is a miracle. Not only to survive the original ordeal of carbon Monoxide poisoning in the Sago mine, but the amazing recovery of his organs and his brain so that he is rehabilitated enough to actually speak and walk out on stage. Astounding.

Huddling

Damn, it's cold. And never so much as when you feel alone. The guy/friend/lover....whatever...I'd been seeing for a year has finally done the inevitable.

"I still want to be friends", he says...or writes, since that's our favourite mode of communication. Seems we had better things to do with our mouths over the past year or so.

It's funny, but I don't ever remember being friends.

My friends, for months had been bugging me to introduce him to them. They say there's something amiss when you don't meet your friends, friends...

"Well, I enjoyed hanging with you" But I don't recall once ever just hanging out somewhere or going to a movie or out anywhere.
